DT - No one will be here long other than Jenkins and he needs to develop a mean streak. Will need to be addressed in 2003 if not sooner.
DE - Rucker is a keeper, even if he is consistently average. Better than many DE's in the league can say. Peppers, OK...but we still need depth and don't have anyone else I can see as a long term fixture.
OLB - Fields will do, but I'd like to see someone picked as his eventual replacement next year. I've said it before, might as well say it again, Jackson could be a BIG suprise. I like Navies better as a back-up and if Jackson does emerge, our needs here will be primarily depth and ST help.
ILB - Morgan and Townes...two starter quality guys, nuff said.
CB - NEEDS HELP! Assuming we get one starter this year, we still need another long term solution here. I like Jenkins and Cousins as depth, but Harper and Howard are cheaper.
SS - Minter and Cooper, nuff said.
FS - Grant...I am not sold on, yet. I think he'll show marked improvement this year though. If so, that would eliminate the need until Richardsons contract is up again.

I'd almost say you're really just looking to make people mad. Damn.
Sorry, Peppers is the highest rated player, and jsut happens to be at a need position. That's not bandwagon speculation, that's called common sense.
Doesn't mean it's the best or only choice, but most would agree that there are only two picks that make sense at #2 and neither of them are an average armed Beuerlein clone.

Not really :D I'm looking for identification of who you think is a cornerstone for this team and where we should improve long term, not a list of who we have. I know who we have.

yeah but I gotta wade through a bunch of extra to get your point. In this case I couldn't give less of a damn about DeRon Jenkins and I think we're well into establishing that Jason Kyle isn't our future on the strong side. :p
It's all good, I just don't feel like reading a page answer for a two line thought. Yeah, I know, the kettle's paging me looking for my philosophy on dark coatings.

No not really.. I am all the way a Tarhell football fan.. As you know, my alma ma... UNCW does not have football and is just now beginning to blossom (a little) in Basketball... So anyway... myself and many experts have Peppers overated as a 1-5 pick... I will try to find the links....

Shit fire - I'd love to see him do well as I would any Tarheel which by the way, I was behind the guy GB drafted when we drafted Peter - While both have been injured and now Peters retired, its obvious the Packers did better there..

So to rap it up... Peppers is overated at #2, for us... Trust me... Offense is our biggest opportunity as of April 10, 2002.

Behind him so much you could almost read the name on his jersey. Hey guys, let's take a holiday up to Green Bay and see if we can remember his name.

nah, you still can be. It's just time to toughen up and have us realize our own shortcomings instead of being defensive about them.
