Enjoyed the observations. Can't get this stuff in any of the local media. One of these days I'm going to have to make the trip down there.

I rag on Gamble alot when we're watching the game but I will give him his due, he is a willing tackler these days. Guess he has to be since so many passes are caught by his receiver.

Yeah... I don't see any reason why he should play for 1 yr deal at $1.7m... I've googled the news stories, Fox has been told hes staying shape, so thats a positive, he's checked on his teammates through Capt Munnerlyn, and players respect his decision. He's not getting fined, hes not under contract... but it doesn't look good. Apparently, he would have been an UFA, but the uncapped year triggered a 6yr minimum instead 4yrs, so he's stuck. Unless the Panthers come to the table with long term deal, he won't play IMO... And if the Panthers wanted him, they would have signed him already. If something is done, itll prob be after the rooks are done, and during that time... they have plenty of young DB's in camp to show they can play.... obviously, I think he's the best CB on the team, I'm sure he does too... he's not being paid like it and the Panthers play hard ball when they have the leverage... so yes, I think he sits.

If he sits, he's screwed next year, too.

Yeah, and if he isn't signed beyond a certain date the tender can drop in value.

I really don't see him sitting, it's more harmful than helpful for getting a long term deal from Carolina or any other team.

    awesome as always. Thanks.

I'd heard Goodson is in the slot some as well, any basis to any of that? It came before yesterday's reports, and without the top backs practicing I have a hard time believing it.

Sounds like Rodgers is much more hands on, but most of that came from yesterday's reports.

I'm pretty sure Gamble didn't have dreads last year.

He signed a decent-sized contract a few years back. My sense is that he's in the latter half of it now, but I don't think it's his last year. I'd have to look it up to be sure.

One of the players (forget who) said somewhere that he believed Marshall would be in soon. Take that for what it's worth.

Don't recall seeing Goodson line up in the slot, specifically. He was lining up as an RB every time I saw him.

He looked good, but then that was the story in last year's minicamps too.

Got the chance to say Hi to Meatpile again. Lovely wife you have there too, man.

I'm sure I'll be out again some for training camp (notebook in hand).
