It would be an upset for him to make the team, just considering the round he was drafted in. Add to that the reports that he's kind of a project, and he's got PS written all over him. So I'm not surprised at what you're reporting.

Some thought the DL coach (Sunseri?) was softer than Trgovic. Glad to hear he'll get on him.

I went to the Saturday afternoon practice, 4 rolls of film and some thoughts on Monday (late morning.)

Actually, I can give give you some quick thoughts to chew on until I get the pictures developed.

Eddie Jackson will serious challenge Ricky Manning for the nickle spot.

We have 5 clear quality DL then a bunch of guy's with "potential"

Ellison looks like he's suffering from a case of the rough adjustments, I think once he settles in though he'll overcome the rest and earn a spot.

Davis is rocket quick, and persue's the ball with passion.

Drew Carter is suffering no ill effects from the torn ACL, he cuts like a razor - dropped a few though.

Stubblefield has stickum hands, and manages to find a seem and make a play.

Lafors through a nice tight spiral, didn't see him through anything deep though.

Shelton is 240 of solid muscle.

Peppers, Jenkins, Buckner in a world of their own.

    Chris Draft is a beas...

Jason Kyle worked at LB the whole practice, while Johnson did all the Long snapping (don't read to much into that though)

They spent alot of time (kickers) working a play where Kasay runs up and gets under center?????????

I'll have some more when I unwind from the drive.

Do you mean they're being aloof?

Nice to hear about Draft. He could be important.

I read the Kyle thing that they're giving him a chance to show he could be a backup player. Or maybe it was just for fun.

Did you include Moorehead in the 5 DL?

    Thanks for the great thoughts.

I take it the competition for starting corners is over?

Draft is lining up where? Competing with Short at SLB?

I liked Jackson a lot last year but would be surprised if he beats Manning for the nickle, just seems like a great position for Manning.

Surprised to hear Carter cuts "like a razor." I had assumed him to be more of a long strider (Troy Williamson type). Somewhat disappointed he dropped some balls; hopefully, that's due to the layoff and will quickly improve. Looked smallish in the photo to me.

    Good news on Stubb.

Any thoughts on the safeties, other than Davis (btw, nice report on him)?
