Some of you winger macho men should go see it. Sean Penn gives an absolutely amazing performance, especially considering he is hetero (actually his boyfriend in the movie is a straight actor too). Penn makes it look effortless. Josh Brolin gives a great performance too. And Gus Van Zant's directing is superb. I see Oscar squirting all over this thing.

Penn should have never gone full retard.

 

At this stage of both their lives and career, Penn is a better actor than DeNiro (or at least he tries harder). In fact, I am having a hard time coming up with a male actor who is better. I'm not even counting the majority of "actors" who basically just play themselves in every movie, like Tom Cruise. Maybe guys like Johnny Depp or Gary Oldman or Robert Downey Jr come close.

 

I almost saw it just b/c Penn was in it. THank god I found out it's a fag movie before I went.
