Mike Nolan named 49ers HC

    nothing wrong with his stats...those 3 men inherited one win teams and took them to the playoffs 2 years later, they weren't the coaches during the one win seasons.

    Let me clarify. It was taking teams to the postseason within two seasons of a 1-15 season.:

    Lombardi took over a team (GB) that won just one game the year prior (1958). Two years into his tenure (1960), he led them to the playoffs.

    Parcells took over a team (NYJ) that one just one game the year prior (1996). Two seasons into his tenure (1998), he led them to the playoffs.

    Fox took over a team (CAR) that one just one game the year prior(2001). Two seasons into his tenure (2003), he led the Panthers to the playoffs.

    Okay, the confusion came from the Superbowl claim. That's why I figured it had to be the Pats/Parcells, not Jets. They haven't been since Namath.
