Yep, it shows how wrong you were that Bourn was the centerpiece of that deal. He's going to do well in Houston, although I'm surprised that Philadelphia would deal him before coming to terms with Rowand. If they let him get away, their outfield is going to be putrid.

If Bourne was the player you think he is, then why would the Phillies unload him before the Rowand decision is made. Even if Rowand left, Boure was going to share right field with Worth. I never said that Bourne was the second coming, you said he would be starting for the Phillies. Yep, it shows how wrong you were.

If Rowand leaves! Victorino in center field has a better arm and is faster than Rowand. I know that Rowand just won his first gold glove award, so don't go there. He's good, no doubt, just letting you know what is going to happen. Slow footed Burrell will still be in left until the late innings, and Jason Worth will play right field. Worth has a cannon for an arm. Chris Roberson will alternate in right field and left field.

Only because they got Brad Lidge in return, meaning that they could move Brett Myers back into the rotation. The ability to make Myers a starter again is the only reason they moved Bourn, which makes sense given that Myers is better than any of the pitchers available in free agency.
Dude, you are beyond clueless. Bourn is a natural centerfielder, definitely better there than Victorino and potentially a better one than Rowand. Moreover, he doesn't have the arm for right field.
I'm wrong? You're the one who idiotically called him "a bench player at best." Obviously he can't start for a team that trades him, but not only will he be starting in centerfield for the Astros, he was the centerpiece of that trade. If scouts and front offices didn't agree that Bourn is going to be a very good player, how could the Phillies have gotten Lidge for him? You're the one who is clueless, but again, I think we already knew that.

If you had your facts straight, I could respect you thoughts and ideas more. But if you think that Bourn was the centerpiece of the deal, once again you're wrong. Mike Costanzo made the deal go. 24 years old and hit 24 home runs last year. One of the organizations top prospects. Geary was the throw in. If you had your info straight, you would know that the Phils were planning on platooning Bourn in right and left field, which they did a lot this past year. Again, if Rowand leaves town, Victorino will be the center fielder. And that was going to be whether Bourn stayed or not. That's a fact! While it may be true that Bourn is a natural center fielder, he wasn't going to play there for the Phils.

Ed Wade, the Astros' new GM, said that Bourn was the centerpiece of the deal, you colossal idiot.
Costanzo did not rank in Baseball America's top ten prospects for the Phillies. Bourn did. In one of their chats, BA wrote that scouts told them that Costanzo is not viewed as an everyday third baseman at the major league level.
Bourn doesn't have the arm to do more than occasionally fill in at right field, which is why he only appeared there six times in 2007. Meanwhile he made 12 appearances in center and 79 in left.
Now, sure, but Bourn is a far better defensive centerfielder than Victorino. You can babble about the "facts" all you want because you're a loudmouth without a clue, but if you actually look at what scouts, GMs, and other baseball sources have said, you're clearly wrong.
