Microsoft to charge for e-mail forwarding

  2. How about they do a better job of keeping jackasses from sending me 1000's of junk e-mails? Maybe that'd cut down on their bandwidth and storage costs...

    I agree totally but they have the rights to our accounts probably until we pay. I use yahoo mail also and they're spamming mail also...

    Yeah, it's pretty funny - Microsoft seems to be more of a follower than a leader of late. They dropped the price on the Xbox because Sony did it first. Now, they're following in Yahoo's steps by charging for forwarding. I have a few Yahoo accounts that they stopped allowing me to forward in April, cause I didn't want to pay the $23 or whatever it was.....

    The free shit on the web is going away :(
     
  5. MS is probably just trying to avoid getting flak. If they do it first, people would probably complain because of their monopoly status. Since another company did it first, they can follow suit without issue.

    I always wondered how a company could say "free internet service forever". Forever? How can you promise that?
