I realize this is rather old news but I just wanted to know what you guys think.

First off, I'd like to say that I'm a huge Mick Mixon fan and am happy for him and his new opportunity with the Carolina Panthers. I live in Charlotte and the Panthers organization is a class organization and he'll fit right in working with a class group of guys down here. Mick will do a great job with the Panthers just as he has done a wonderful job along side Woody Durham at UNC for the for the last 16 or 17 years. Being a diehard UNC fan, I've always been one to turn down the sound on TV and listen to Woody and Mick simulcasted on the radio. I've probably only missed 10 or so games on the radio over the past 15 years. However, with all that being said, I do have a concern for Mick. Former Panthers play-by-play man, Phil Rosinski had been radio man every since the Panthers inaugural season back in 1995. In my opinion, Rosinski did a VERY GOOD JOB. He was the type of guy who "told it like it was". He never sugar coated anything and if the Panthers made a stupid play or did something idiotic out on the field, Rosinski described it as such. Any of you who live in the Charlotte market down here know that a lot of people are miffed at the Panthers organization for not extending Rosinski's contract at the end of last season. He was a very liked man down here and most thought he'd be around forever with the Panthers in the same light that we all think (HOPE) Woody will be around forever on Tar Heels Sports Network. I guess my main concern is that the people out there who don't know anything about Mick will be resentful toward him simply based on the way Rosinski was let go. I sure hope not.

theres a better chance people are resentful toward him because he's a Tarheel more so than Rosinski's firing

I doubt anyone cares where he's from. The problem is that he is dull and looks like Forrest Gump.

I caught a part of the Panthers Huddle this afternoon and caught a small part of Mick Mixon at the end of the show and Mixon needs to loosen up. He was so tight that I thought that he was going to explode. :detonate:

The dude needs to relax and have fun. It may have been because this was his first TV gig for the Panthers and he was nervous, but, damn. Is he always that serious and wound up that tight?
