Eh, that kind of stuff happens everywhere. At UNC, there was a class called FREN 041, French Literature in English Translation. Total football player class, there were usually some seats left for general registration. It was therefore popular with premeds who wanted GPA fluffers. A buddy of mine took it and said there was a review session the night before each midterm and the final where the TA basically went over all the content and address specific angles of looking at things. Basically, dont worry about anything else just know these three questions.

Of course, the next day, the exam would be verbatim from what was discussed the night before.

The way they got away with this is having the review sessions open to anybody in the class. Football players would be advised by their academic advisors to take the course, and of course advised to attend the review session. They just happened to be at the field house. There is nothing technically illegal about this, and I'm sure it happens nearly everywhere.

Every school has one or two majors that are known to be easy that athletes are pushed towards. UNC has Communications, dook has Sociology. I always laugh when I read that a football prospect really likes Clemson because of their engineering program, or UNC because of their business school. It just ain't gonna happen.
