they could have five losses going into conference play and still deserve to be in the top ten. Besides Kentucky and Syracuse, they still have to play UCLA, and you never know which Bruin team will show up.

If the Spartans reach the Final Four or better, everyone will think it was genius of Izzo. IF they look tired and falter, everyone will think he is the biggest idiot alive.

UCLA has Brian Morrison. I can tell you which team will show up on any given night.

Not sure what he did last game, but before that he was avg. 18.5 pts and 6.5 rebs per game while shooting about 65% from the floor.

UCLA improved a lot from last year. Granted that they lose Dijon Thompson, but that Farmar kid is sick, and the old Pittsburgh coach is a great fit there. He will have them around the 8th or 9th seed by the end of the year for the tournament and maybe even higher (no way higher than a 5 though.)

Why? This thread was started before the 2003-04 season, when the Spartans were in everybody's preseason top ten then almost didn't make the damn tournament. This year, the non conference schedule wasn't as brutal, and and the Spartans made the Final Four.

You could have done the heavy research and checked the date of the thread.

    Thanks for playing.
