Well, he did have Richard Hamilton. Getting rid of him for Stackhouse wasn't the brightest move. Neither was taking a total project as the first pick overall in Brown. And when he did get rid of Howard, he had cap space to bring in young talent. He didn't.

Of course, he could have just gotten bitten by whatever bug that makes the Wizards the Clippers of the East. Jordan made some bad moves, but none of them compare to most of the other moves they have made.

Like I said before Piper...its easy to say they were bad moves now....I don't remember hearing anyone saying that stackhouse for Hamilton was a bad move when it went down....only now that we see Hamilton doing well and Stackhouse being his usual one-man-show can we see that was not a good move. Honestly...I think that was him going for a Carolina guy. Pitino did that when he was with Boston...looked for Kentucky guys.

And yes...he could have signed better talent when he got rid of Howard....but most guys are going to go were the ring is...no one wanted to go to Washington...that wasn't Jordan's fault.

The thing is, everyone KNEW that Stack is a gunner who would probably sulk if he didn't get his shots. He didn't get his shots, so he sulked. Fuck him. You are right on this though - MJ went for a Carolina guy in hopes that he could talk him into playing the role of loyal sidekick.

As for Rip and the trade, I saw a story this week that said the main reason Rip was dealt is because he stood up to MJ and told him that he (Rip) was willing to play 2nd fiddle for a while, but not at the expense of the TEAM. If that is the case, then MJ really does deserve an ass chewing for trading a guy who stood up to him. Rip would have been here for years after MJ....

This thing turned into a monster train wreck. Never in my life have I seen a franchise like the Wizards where every possible fucking thing that CAN go wrong - DOES go wrong.

I thought this way the norm with the Wizard franchise, both before and during Jordan's stay. Washington Wizard franchise has been one of the worst franchises for a long time, Clippers notwithstanding.

I will restate my opinion of MJ coming to Charlotte. I still think its a bad idea, mainly because the story will be about MJ, and not about the new team. I don't think they need that.

yeah, MJ can't spot talent at all. you'd better hope he doesn't end up running the new charlotte team. yikes.

west has only had one year under his belt in memphis and they got a couple really good rookies -- gooden and girecek. they traded them to orlando (where they're prospering) for mike miller. he's also gotten jason williams to play under control -- #2 in assists to TOs and #2 in assists per game. hubie brown has a lot to do with that as well, but who hired hubie?

That's funny. I never really listen to Primetime, and I was surprised to hear MJ on it, and only listened to about 5 minutes.

That's killer. I hope they read this thread.

Well, maybe MJ isn't a dick.
