I think FSU is slightly overrated. They have entered the ND zone, a team that the media wants to be better than they are, to boost ratings.

They are gonna get thrashed by UF if they don't get it together. Of course, the ACC still looks like a cakewalk league, so they should get to a good bowl and a decent ranking at the end of the year.

Team that most surprised me? Cincy. I knew they were gonna be good, they murdered Rutgers at Rutgers and they did it methodically. They could be a standard bearer that the Big East needs. Both conferences are an embarassment to the BCS right now.

they were running the clock down so miami's offense wouldn't get the ball back. if they got the ball for even two plays, fsu's defense would have given up the score. miami knew that, thats why they called the TO in the last minute.

I know it. But you never know, they might pull out a couple of miracle seasons like JoPa's teams have recently. They were in the same boat for a long time. The college game seems to have evolved past them. Steve Spurrier is in the same boat. You have guys like Brown, Carroll, Meyer, Tressell and Stoops running the show now.

It was fantastic clock management, I concur. They should have won that game. They are a better team than Miami, even with a suspect defense, they just failed to convert. You don't drop that ball in the endzone, you just don't do that.

My girlfriend watched the game and asked who we were cheering for, I just said I wanted a good game. I felt like it was until that last possession. Even though I would never cheer for FSU, you just don't march down the field like that and then collapse. It would have been like the Steelers failing to convert at the end of the Super Bowl. Of course, I would have liked to have seen the Cards win that game, haha.

GaTech might be the best team in the ACC this year, their option is unreal.

For what its worth, that's as dynamic of an offensive performance that I've seen from FSU for a number of years. It should be an entertaining team to watch at least.

the offense is far better than under jeff bowden. you can thank rick trickett and jimbo fisher for that. hell, it was fisher who recruited #5 on defense, even.

mickey wanted to quit last year, but bobby begged him to come back. amato is a cancer in the clubhouse. jody allen is just sucking up a paycheck.

this team wont be back until jimbo is allowed to clean house and get rid of the dead weight. then he'll need two years of recruiting.

hopefully bobby can FINALLY go this year and jimbo can run the show. it's really messed things up having the two of them as co-coaches. at least jimbo is getting his way more and more. jimbo took over practices this summer -- from what people said, it's like night and day compared to how they used to be run. jimbo keeps guys moving double-time the whole time and they get in 12-18 more plays than before. very active.

but it all don't mean a thing if your receiver can't hold onto the ball. first one in the end zone bounced off his facemask, second off his pads.

    ugh.
