    That is unfortunately true. I work with a guy with 4 degrees and he likes the check he gets back. He says it is his savings account. In a perfect world, he'd take that money, not give it to the govt, and invest it to earn more than 0% interest. He's a smart guy and if he doesn't want to do it, then probably most of us either can't or don't want to do it either.

    It's not such a bad thing paying too much to the gov't throughout the year. Makes you a wiser spender.

    OK, makes me a better spender, because I live on less money throughout the year. Builds character and all that.
