Just a few photos from my trip up to Shea Stadium this past Sunday to watch the Mets/Phillies game. Man, between the Mets losing and the Giants losing out in the Meadowlands to the Packers, there were some pissed off folks on the Subway heading back into Manhatten Sunday afternoon :) !!!!!!!!!!!

    Some more photos :) . . .

From the beginning of my day in NYC . . I took the commuter train from New Haven to NYC Sunday morning. I left at 8:20am and I didn't get back into town until 10:50pm!!!!! Yeah, I had a long day in the Big Apple :) :) . . . . (Train ride was 90 mins and only $30 round trip). I was sitting kinda close to the left field foul pole on the mezzaine level; I could see most of the action on the field but I had an obstructed view of the scoreboard do to the overhang from the 3rd level (green seat section). the first photo was from the Empire State Building, which I checked out before the game.

First photo is of CITI FIELD, Which will open in 2009

This will be the front door to the Mets new ballpark (Jackie Robinson Rotunda, which is being modeled after the old Ebbets Field).

Damn, I'm envious. I haven't been to Shea in like 20 years.

What's with the sparse crowd at Shea with a game against a divisional rival? Looks like a baseball game in Atlanta. At least you got to see one good team ;)
