    Jan 5 - The Mets are considering making a pitch for Jeff Weaver, The New York Post reports. Weaver is believed to be looking for a four-year deal worth $40 million. But the Mets are leery of giving anyone more than a one- or two- year deal.

    This hack was looking for a team less than a year ago and now he is to be signed for 10 mil a year? :thud:

    can you say Gil Meche? that signing alone inflated the salaries of mediocre free agent pitchers everywhere.
