Just assuming Fassell fires him. and he hooks up with Fox.

But why would Fassell fire him? He sounds like a hot commodity.

Because Fassel thought he was doing such a shitty job of playcalling, he decided to do it himself. What makes this even more probable is that's exactly when the Giants took off.

they did need change. He's not really a hot commodity, but he's more imaginative than Henning. It doesn't surprise me that Fassell did a better job, it does surprise me that he didn't have the presence of mind to help out and be involved rather than just straight up neglecting it and using it later to keep his job.

  6. he runs a similar offense to danny boy...however, the giants have the talent to actually be "imaginative." Better QB, RBs, TE, and WRs....

I think Henning is a scapegoat here.

It's not like we have the offensive talent that NY has.

Hes not gone yet is he? Of the three talking heads I saw last night discussing OC for Dallas only one mentioned Henning and it was as a second choice.

Since we concentrated on Defense last year, and have few holes there now, and obviously improved it greatly, I'm sure with all that's been said, we are gonna build the Offense now.

Now that we're gonna do that, we need to go with an OC that actually can build one. And we need to go ahead and start now if we're gonna make a change. I would hate to start building, then make a change after next year, throwing a monkey wrench into it and making the guys learn another system in mid-stream.
Just my opinion but, they need to either keep Henning and let him build something good, or go ahead and find somebody that will stick a while. Be conservative to start with is probably the plan, but I would hope they would open things up as we build the new O, and they get comfortable with the system.
Damn do we need some offensive playmakers. I think they should scrap the whole O, draft almost exclusively ofeense, and fill the remaining holes on the O, and add some depth at LB, and CB, through decent priced, young FA players.

Good point Micocol. I presume Parcells might feel the same.
