    If it will not then he truly has lost his passion for the game and needs to retire. He really is not all that old. It is not unreasonable to think he could have a late career resurgence if he landed in the right spot at the right time. A lot of people thought Kurt Warner was done when the Cards started Lienart over him.

    I think you mean when the Giants started Eli over Kurt. The Cardinals never started Leinart over Warner, they just had a battle during the preseason that Kurt won.

    Eh, I was wrong about that. In 2007 they used both quarterbacks, but Leinart technically was the starter for a while.

    35 yo. Not every QB is a Testeverde, Favre, or Warner. There are currently 100+ ACTIVE NFL QBs. Less than a half-dozen were in teh league when He was drafted. If it isn't his time to hang them up, it's close. It doesn't sound like he has a whole lot of desire to fill a mentor type role.
