Just sitting down to watch the tape, had a famly reunion to go to. I listened to the first QTR and the last 7 min. on the radio.

On the tip ball by Offer in the first qtr, the radio announcers (Vikes announcers) were bitching that he didn't pick that off? What the hell do they expect, eggs in their beer??? Give the kid credit for getting up there and knocking it down, that was quite a leap!

On the Grant int. in the first qtr, we saw the REAL Randy Moss. NO EFFORT what so ever, what a pussy!

    More to come...

On Peete's first turnover of the 2002 season, was that really his fault? Granted it was a bad decision, but did Smith just trip or was he shoved to the ground by the other DB? Hard to tell from the camera angle...OH, the replay shows it, just a poor decision & Smith fell...forget I said anything.

Peete's second int, another bad decision. Tried to throw that one into four defenders.

    Chris Hovan?

Or did Axel Rose finally eat a sandwich?

I suppose you could say that, although I wouldn't. The DE's had gotten around the outside of the OT's. Peete just stepped up in the pocket to where he was surrounded, but he had a clear line of vision to see that there were more Vikes than Panthers where he was throwing. Still, I am sure he could have found a guy with less than four defenders around him? Didn't really look as though anyone came back to the ball either.

The thing I really am beginning to like about Peete - No 4th quarter turnovers - thats not something us Panther fans are use to... ;)

    First half notes:

    1. Lamar Smith is running like a man posessed. That and the Vikes can't tackle for shit.

    2. When the D gets a upfield push and makes Dante move in the pocket, he makes mistakes. Cullpepper has NO confidence right now. Actually, while listening to the post game show there were a number of Vikesters calling for #11 to get the hook. I don't think that would be the answer, yet. Two more weeks of play like he has been and I could agree with that thinking, no it would be a knee jerk reaction.

    3. The offense is a little stale, well the passing game anyway. We should be trying to get deep on this poor Dbackfield more often.

Moss put a HUGE blindside hit on Fields on the Cullpepper scramble early in the third.
Bet he couldn't do that when Fields is looking!

    Witherspoon got that fumble!

Chris Mangum is NEVER going to be Wesley Walls, unless he learns to catch balls when no one is on him!

Moss again over the middle and another int. Both were a little high, but the second one...my thinking is, if you can get a hand on it, you can catch it. He's just weak over the middle. Nothing new I guess, but I wouldn't even bother sending him in the middle of the field, or at least I wouldn't throw it to him if I was the QB!

Smith did a nice job of keeping active and finding the opening on the TD.
