Yeah, but don't all head coaches? Its not as if anyone on the beat ever give the fans insight as to how things work in Panthers HQ anyway, so I guess its just all speculation regardless.

You don't want Peterson. He's a faster, more athletic DeAngelo Hall. If you want the team to move down and get a CB, you want Amukamara.

As for the coaching staff, I'd be pretty psyched about this team if Hurney wasn't still picking the players. I couldn't be too much happier about who the coaches are.

Ike Reese, who's on WIP and was a former Eagle/Falcon, always refers to Deangelo Hall as being the most athletically gifted player he ever played with (Mike Vick was on the Falcon team as well). If Peterson is MORE athletic than Hall, that is saying something. Reese said the problem with Hall was always his head, and I'm reading into your feelings about Peterson that he shares that same problem.

I've also read that Prince has little to no holes in his game, so I can see why you'd rate him higher. That shutdown corner is going to be necessary with Mcdermott/Rivera running that D.

solid. guy talks a tough game.

But I didn't see a rainbow, nor a pot of gold. Guy's happy to get out of that green I'm fairly sure.

"put pressure on the offensive playcaller". Wow.

Which, we blitzed a lot for a tampa 2 team the last few years, but it didn't work. Even the C3 disguise stuff Fox used after JDR left, it wasn't really designed for pressure. This is.

definitely a solid staff. It would've been nice to keep Baker.

so is it fair to say Hurney put this staff together? It's on his head if they suck?

Hurney gets the credit for putting the staff together if it's successful?

he likely did, though it was likely give and take on Chudzinski. I think Hurney was angling for Clements, though I can't really back it, and would've had concerns that the Packers wouldn't let him go.

In plenty of cases there were more veteran coaches I'd have preferred but we didn't want to go vet.

Not really. Hurney & Richardson picked Rivera, but then Rivera picked everyone else.
