Apparently he didn't turn on the television until halftime.

Applejack, McCants had 14 points in the first half against Deron Williams' supposedly superior defense. The only reason he didn't score in the second half is that we forced the ball into May (good strategy, but stagnates the offense), so McCants stopped driving to the bucket and just hoisted jumpers on the rare occasions he did take a second half shot.

Another thing I'll note on McCants is that when he wants to, he can be play fantastic defense, both on-the-ball and giving help. Most people don't realize how many blocks and steals (more than Hodge) he had the past two years, along with how few turnovers (less than Hodge). They notice the attitude, and rightfully so, but not much else.

I watched the whole game brother. Big time players show up in big time minutes which normally equates to the 2nd half of college basketball.
    He was Casper.
Also, the focus on May should have left Mccants open for many 10-12 foot jumpers on the weak side because of the help defense. Moving without the ball creates that.
If he's only a slasher with no jumper or movement without the ball will be a serious detriment.

Man defense in the 2nd half to protect Felton should have allowed opportunity for rebounds from a 2 or 3. How many boards did he have?

Hard to rebound when May & Felton weren't missing much, isn't it?

That's why they are called defensive rebounds.

He should be a much better rebounder than he is. I'll grant you that. But you were completely wrong to suggest he didn't show up in the championship game.
