It would be nice to see those two go at it for three more years, but it ain't gonna happen.

    from yesterdays paper...

North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough and Duke's Josh McRoberts could be two of the first 17 players taken in June's NBA draft.
That doesn't mean they should turn pro.
That's the appraisal of a veteran NBA scout who has seen both play extensively. He says freshmen Hansbrough and McRoberts would be selected that high, not because they're anywhere near ready, but because hardly anyone else is ready....http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/basketball/nba/charlotte_bobcats/14135421.htm

McRoberts has some insane athletic ability, but it's a bit disconcerting to hear that over half his field goals this season were dunks. He can be a human highlight reel, but I wonder if he's not shooting jumpers because he lacks confidence or because he just flat out sucks at it.

They both need to improve on that mid-range jumper.

He'll get that next year, since he was at least the third choice on offense, and Hansbrough was the first. How many looks would Hansbrough have gotten with JJ and Sheldon on his team.

That's true, but it's also true that Hansbrough has done far more with his playing time than McRoberts has done with his, so his totals still would have been much better. McRoberts still has plenty of time to improve, however (either at Duke or in the NBA).

McRoberts is scoring more this year than Shelden Williams did his freshman year, and I think he's been averaging double figures since the FSU game. I think he and Paulus will make a good team in years to come if he decides to stay. Both of them have a ton to work on.
