can take some of his 1.2 million contract and invest in some new material or new set of guests. The little known athlete (i.e. Rod Smith, Larry Kennedy, Kenny Wallace) routine is simply unlistenable, along with "Two for Tuesdays", the Mike from Gastonia daily interview, etc...

In the past, Packer had some entertaining bits with the "Michael Jordan" imitator, the "Bush v Gore" debates, etc...

Come on Pack, it is a new year, how about some innovation.

Its $1.2 million over 5 years . . . . . Nice chunk of change for a 5k watt sportstalk station whose signal at nights doesn't go outside of the country . . . Yeah, PRIMETIME needs a major overhaul, but I'm sure we're in the minority on this . . . Has anybody noticed that the pool of PRIMETIME cohosts have shrunk . . What happen to David Flemming & Charles Chandler ? ?

 

I e-mailed Feliming a couple of months ago to see why he wasn't on anymore. He says he's doing more on ESPN radio, so the Packer thing's no big deal for him. Don't know about Chandler.

 

I happened on the show today as I was going around the radio dial. It was really fascinating. They were doing this whole "Carolina sucks/ Duke sucks" thing. I thought is was completely original. I'd never heard anything like it. It was almost like the callers were calling each other out and throwing each other under the bus. I kid you not!!

Some callers thought Dean Smith was overrated and some thought Coach K was. And the reasons they had for thinking that way.......well, normally you'd have to get an old copy of William F. Buckley's Firing Line to hear such riveting, articulate discourse.

I'm really glad Pack is back. It was so stupid when Justice or Sorensen would talk to the other guests on the show and ask intellegent questions and have either informative or entertaining dialogue. I hate it when people who write for a living or have informed opinions about stuff come on there and put whole sentences together. I want Mike from Gastonia and Get Some guy all the time!!!! That's just good radio.

 

I hope this is considered a fine example of sarcasim.

What the fuck do you want to talk about in Charlotte, NC. You have the Panthers, the new NBA team, College B-ball and football, golf, Hurricanes if your really board and high school sports.

What more is there in this area? If you travel much you will realize we have it good as far as sports radio goes.
