am i the only one who thinks ohio state is in for a slight letdown this year? they won a lot of close games last year and seemed like a team of destiny almost.

i'm not saying they'll be awful. i'm sure they'll contend for the big ten but i wouldn't be surprised if they dropped a couple this year or even 3. washington, @wisconsin, @penn state, purdue, @michigan, and yes even nc state should be tough games for ohio state.

No it's not just you. I can see 1-2 losses easy. Purdue should've beaten them last year (a 30 yard bomb caught with one hand on 4th down with 1 minute to go????) and would be the favorite in my eyes to win the Big 10 if it weren't for the fact that they have to play at both OSU and Michigan.

But I don't think UW will be trouble for them because the Huskies can't stop the run. Purdue spotted them a few TD's and then ran them over in a bowl game last year. Other than USC, the Pac-10 teams blow against the run.

true, but washington should have a very good passing game no matter who is coaching them. if they can turn it into a shootout i think it might be a very exciting and close game. sure they can't stop the run but they might not have to worry about clarett by that point. if they can score early or something i think they can do some things against ohio state.

that's true but only 6 on defense, and their offense wasn't exactly explosive last year...plus they may be without clarett this year which will hurt, and they will be without mike doss which will also hurt. he was one of the best players in the ncaa last year.

i'm not saying they'll be bad, but i do think they'll lose 2 or 3 this year. i could easily see them losing @wisconsin, @penn state, or @michigan...plus purdue won't be a pushover at all. they have some tough games.
