    Don't be sorry :), and I wish it weren't true. I just didn't want you to think it was one of those a friend of a friend of a friend told me.....(though I'm sure that's what you were hoping for :) ) At any rate, I still eat pickles after all that. :huh: Think about how many foods you couldn't eat if you avoided them based on stories--true or made up. Hmmm...forget Atkins, I may be on to something there...:D

    Thanks LJ - I thought I was going mad there for a moment. I think on one occassion we got the `Hellman's' labelled ones - so that's where I got it from. :) Cheers for checking! Thanks Farmer - I love preserving recipes...especially when I'm growing the stuff and it's going to waste. I love preserving - it brings out the nesting thing in me. :)

    Oddly, I don't find this as upsetting as I should. Though, I'm hoping that the pickling spice is indeed pickling spice and not wee gallstones. :worried:
