yes, little knots in your muscles are usually lactic acid but sometimes they are fibers of the muscle bunched up. when your muscles are used (especially for athletes) they produce lactic acid that has nothing do to with the amount of lactose you produce (to my knowledge). massage breaks up that lactic acid that is why it is important to drink water to allow your body to flush out those toxins, otherwise they settle somewhere else in your body.

deep tissues massages are the shit! when i was going to the chiropractor i would get one every month. this was after my initial treatment for my pinched nerve several years ago. it was a maintenance type thing. they did my back and chest each time and it was great. i think i went for about a year til we changed insurance at work. i got a mayofascial release once (enter jokes here). that was kinda strange and painful but the girl was very pretty so i hung in there like a champ. im strong like that.

if you like deep pressure to your muscles, yes it it. personnaly, it is my favorite so far. i am very excited to say that i am starting a deep tissue class on sat. we are starting with the gluts. if you have never had your gluts professionally done.......you are missing out on the best thing since sliced bread. it is wierd at first but damn it feel sooooo great. we have done some mild deep tissue work. i am told i am good at it and i do love to receive it but a lot of therapist dont go very deep, they are just too gentle.......there are lots of those in my class....i hate getting partnered with them.

Maybe I should go to massage therapy school just so I can afford massages. At least while I'm in school & we practice on each other :)

I've had a couple & I love them. They do wonders for my back pain. & I have knots that NEED to be worked on. But it's just more expensive than I can manage right now.

I'm looking at some books on acupressure to see if there's anything I can do myself that would be helpful.

Hes gonna do my gluts at my next session. I was kinda freaked out about it but now I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for saying all that cause I was wondering if it was for real or if he just wanted to play with my ass.:1peekdoor
