May 16 Giles broke his right collarbone in a collision with Atlanta teammate Andruw Jones Saturday. While pursuing a flyball in the first inning of the Braves' 11-6 win over Milwaukee, Giles crashed into Jones, suffering the collarbone injury, a mild concussion and a bruised right hand. He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks of action.

Blame this one on Andruw Jones.. infielders are taught to go after the ball until called off. jones never did or way too late

it is Giles fault. He's a terrible 2nd baseman IMO, and when the ball is that deep with Andruw's speed, its obvious that was Andruw's ball.

Baseball 101: Infielders are taught to go for that ball until SOMEBODY calls them off...thats just baseball. Not ripping Jones, but he has shown a lack of a legitimate baseball IQ in the past. He has drove Bobby Cox nuts over this aspect of his game....his only flaw imo.

His baseball IQ does drive Bobby crazy, and his .268 career batting average doesn't have Bobby jumping for joy either.I really cannot think of a player with such a low career BA as Andrew that makes 12.5 million a season.

being the best defensive CF in the game probably helps a little.
