    Of course, while I also want him as our pick, the top pick still is unfortunately a discussion of whether or not you're going to take the QB.

    Outstanding player, would love to have him. But he doesn't take us from a 2 win team to a .500 team as an elite qb could. Still think you have to roll the dice with qb until that position is settled.

    roll the dice? that would be exactly it... rookies are going to be way behind making the jump to the next level with all the practice that's going to get missed due to the lock out... and QB is the hardest position to get up to speed... drafting a QB and expecting him to start the season just isn't an option. We need a player that's going to start right away and make an impact.

    Also, I think being in the division we're in, facing the QB's we face, we shouldn't be after a QB to compete with their QB, we should be after a guy that's going to help shut down QB's with pressure and a presence in the middle... QB & DT are our biggest needs, but there are vet QB's going to be available that will make more of an impact then any rookie QB in the draft. Dareus is the pick.

    I'm not saying we should draft a qb so that we can keep up with the jones's in our division. I want to win, and I don't see how you do that without a qb. I agree the first year or two sucks, but at what point do you bite the bullet? Teams with an average qb or better aren't letting that guy get away which only leaves the draft as an option.

    I love how all the Dareus fanboys here assume that somehow someway majically in the future we will find a qb. I would love to have Dareus AND qb but that's not how they run the draft unfortunately.
