Interesting you should point that out, sadic. I believe one of the most important things we need to learn about ourselves--& to keep in mind--is that our view of things is very, very limited. We DON'T always know what's best, for ourselves or anyone else. Based on what I've learned from others, when I am working to effect a change of any kind, I try to keep a sort of "or whatever is best" attitude in my mind.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I believe in any deity in the traditional sense, so to me it's not a matter of putting oneself above God. I do believe that these "forces" I talk about are living in the sense that the entire earth, & everything on it, are living. Even inanimate objects contain energy of one kind or another. I see the entire world as a living organism with zillions of sub-particles--like all the molecules & atoms & micro-creatures that live in/on us.

When I was a kid, I used to wonder, when looking at ants for example & maybe stepping on one, if I might be like an ant to something so big that I couldn't take it all in. That's stuck with me :)

Another point I intended to make before is about people who fuck around with "mystical" stuff like it's a game, without seriously considering what they're doing.

I first got interested in the occult as a teen--a very miserable, depressed, angry kid looking for a way to gain some power over my own life. It SEEMED like an easy answer for a kid like me. But then I saw & experienced some stuff that scared the shit out of me. Not necessarily because what happened was scary in itself; but because I was witnessing power being raised that wasn't really being controlled. It was damn dangerous, & I drifted away from those things for a long time before coming back to it with a great deal more studious, careful, & respectful attitude.

Ouija & occult = self fulfilling prophesy. The believers make the events happen.

Yes, they do. With varying levels of control.
