South Park mall, right beside Cheesecake factory. It's a higher end chain joint. I think the wife and I got out of there for about $40-$50, with a glass of wine and average menu items. Food is good and plentiful, but not excellent. There's something a tad bit off about the ambience too. Probably that it's a chain.

If I am not mistaken, there are several Magg's around the country, but not so much that its over the top....probably barely enough to be considered a chain. The original Magg's is in Chicago. Ambience is definitely Italian....haven't been to the one in Charlotte yet...will have to go and compare some time....

They're owned/run by Brinker International Mike. The same company that owns/runs Chili's, On the Border, Macaroni Grill, etc. It definitely has that feel.

There's another Italian joint with a very similar name ("Mangione's" perhaps?) on East Blvd. Totally different place. Think that one is a one and only mom & pop run place.
