    [rant]F-ing dropped passes!

Seriously, I played vs NE (the PERFECT team according to the stupid game), and I had one last play to win the game. I ran Desperado and properly timed the pass, with perfect touch, to my receiver two feet into the end zone. Hit him right in the basket.... and he dropped it.

Fact is, I've probably run that play 20 times since I got the game and I've never completed it because the receiver drops the ball no matter how perfectly I mash the buttons.

Same with the awful HB screen out of shotgun. Never, ever completed that.

But on the Smith option (deep pass) play from shotgun, I can hit the same HB receiver out of the backfield everytime, covered or not.

    What gives?[/rant]

Delhomme sucks fat lady ass in Madden, as does Smitty, and the offensive line apparently. Granted, some of it is probably the person behind the controls, but I slaughter teams when I play with the Raiders (in superstar mode) and yet I'm a turnover, pass dropping, and sack allowing machine with the Panthers. I just gave up 8 sacks (6 to Kevin Carter - thank you Gross), had 6 ints, and completed 16 of 52 passes against the Dolphins. I scored far more points on defense than on offense, and lost the game in overtime.

Seriously, the Panthers play like Jekyl and Hyde on that game. One week I dominate and the next week my offense is utterly pathetic. I never have these kinds of problems when I play with other teams.

:cussing: I thought video games were supposed to be relaxing.

Delhomme is kinda an up and down player in that game. My o-line only gives up sacks when i hold on to the ball to long(Weinke it) And Smitty never drops anything. When I played the Phins Peppers had 6 sacks. Thier RT is pathetic.

There also seems to be a big difference in skill levels. I'm still playing '05 PC version in franchise mode, and won every single game for three years before I quit on 'Pro' level. I restarted the franchise on 'All Madden' and I have yet to score a touchdown in pre-season. Not only that, but I'm also getting my butt kicked by an average of about 40-3. :thud: Both Delhomme and Weinke are turnover machines and even after signing Compton to play LG, Foster can't run past the LOS to save his life. And Hoover has developed a case of the fumbles.

I may just blow off the first season and get to the draft.

Currently Delhomme is leading the league in interceptions and Smitty is leading the league in drops (by a wide margin), but I've only lost that one game. I felt a little weird about playing the game against the Saints in New Orleans today. Also, Eric Shelton is a fumbling machine in Madden.
