Yeah. I turned the INT slider all the way to zero, but it's still too easy for DB's to get picks (even when they obviously can't see the ball) and too difficult for wideouts to win one-on-one match-ups. Fumbles really aren't so much of a problem, as long as you worry more about covering the ball and less about making a bunch of moves in traffic.

Still working on the offense. So far, I've had to tilt the AI well in my favor just to make it somewhat realistic. Seemed like every game I was playing before was 10-9, but it's getting a little better.

If you're going to play this game, you want to be a team that either has a strong running game or a good short passing game. Completing the deep ball is damn near impossible, no matter what you do with the AI. That isn't all bad, because I think it brings more strategy into the equation and keeps goobers from chucking the ball deep all day. San Diego is almost the perfect team, because you can pound the ball with LT, mix in the screen plays and you have a great short-range target in Gates.

Jacksonville is also a great team for this game.

It is impossible to pass deep (at least with delhomme) even in one on one coverage, they seem to drop it easy. As far as the hitstick goes, its hard to control the player. The highlight stick is easier than on madden 08, with runningbacks and recievers. Hard but a great game to purchase!

Delhodeep to Smith is one of the easiest plays in the game, but Delhomme deep to anyone else sucks. I guess it is realistic.

I finally rented Madden and this is probably the first time I've ever been really disappointed with one of them. '08 is far inferior graphically to NCAA '08, the gameplay isn't quite as tight, and the turnover problem is just as severe. In three preseason games I've had 3, 5, and 5 fumbles, not to mention quite a few interceptions as well. Out routes are essentially impossible, and while linebackers aren't quite as prone to making ridiculous interceptions over the middle, they're still unrealistically good at it.

If you spend enough time tweaking the AI, it will play more realistic. We've played games with only one or two turnovers. You'll have to tilt it quite a bit in your favor only to make it fair.

I find that the short outs work well with fast WRs.

Whether or not you can throw an out depends on the coverage and the quality of the CB. I don't mind having that area taken away because the defense set up in a zone designed to do so, but it annoys me when defensive backs suddenly leap five yards to snag an interception out of the air. I was somewhat tempted to try and take it back to see if I could get Bioshock again for the remainder of the rental period, but I'm going to play with it a bit more.
