It's brought back the features missing from last year's edition (challenges, practice mode). There's still only one camera angle, which was one of my bigger complaints about '06, you can't edit players, and the overall flow of the just seems flaccid. If you're not going to have Madden and Michaels calling the games, at least hire two voice actors. Another thing that bothers me is the sonic boom sound effect that's been added for the deep passes, which I consider beyond gay.

It's definitely better than last year's edition, but that's not saying much. I personally dislike it, although people who are more into the Superstar mode may feel differently.

The gameplay is pretty solid on the 360, but there are quirks that piss me off. HOFers in franchise is avoidable with strategic roster saves, but the fatigue bug is a killer. It's great online when you play with sim ballers instead of the kids who roll out Vick every play. Once they patch the fatigue bug (already been confirmed by EA) this will be a solid game. Not great by any means, but it'll fill in some time until NHL 2K7 comes out next month.

also I read that the 360 graphics look bad because the camera is too far back to really see the little things.

I actually think the camera is too close. It's a lot like the Madden classic cam on reg XBox, which many people use and enjoy. I prefer the widescreen cam because I can see more of the field, and it's the most visually pleasing POV for my TV.

Yeah, if anything the camera is a little close. I don't get all the hate, though. I've been playing it a lot since release and it seems like a very solid game to me. Granted, it's my first game on the 360, but it's also better looking than any other sports game I've seen.

    For 360? I really don't think so.

In any event, we should have more than one camera option available.

If you dont think that they are too far away, then have you played NCAA 2007? The camera angle is closer making the graphics better than Madden..Yes, we do need angle options and they needed to improve the ending when you win it all..Just a disappointment for me..Just my opinion..

I haven't played NCAA, but if their camera angle is actually closer, then I can understand why so many people hated that game and traded it in for Madden. Like you said, we should have options. With such an advanced platform, there is really no reason to omit the other angles.

and I agree that this game lacks the same presentation elements that we've seen from current gen Madden and the 2k series. At the end of games, I've often asked myself "and that's all??" I think EA could have done a lot more to take advantage of their relationship with NFL Network and ESPN, and upgraded the presentation. Halftime shows, real announcers, postgame shows, etc. Those things could have added a lot more to the experience, imo.

well from what I read, EA wont be adding deeper ESPN integration into the presentation. Nothing like ESPN announcers and graphics. They will however, start putting in real life streaming sportscenter updates and stuff like PTI clips in it though through xbox live.

    kinda lame.
