Why? Because you are a putz. OK, so you are a good recruiter... but the alumni did not like you at UNC, you choked with teams that should have gone further... we "reckon" you'll do the same at Texas.

Texas won big tonight, but if the refs were straight, you're lookint at a 7 to 10 pt game easy... against a Tarheel team that lost most of their defense...

    Oh well...

as long as mack can recruit, he has a chance.

he was the front-runner to replace bobby.

Mack Brown never wanted to play second fiddle to the basketball program so he bolted. How long before Mack gets sacked when he fails to beat KSU or Nebraska and continually isn't a factor in the National Championship. Texans take football seriously. Heels alum would be happy with an annual trip to Atlanta or Jacksonville

i know carolina fans like to think that mack brown just couldn't win the "big one" - - but, seriously, fsu had so much more talent than the heels. it wasn't going to happen. he knew he wasn't going to get those kids in there to beat fsu and, rather than wait around and ruin his reputation, he left for a football school. one with an incredible fanbase, tradition and facilities.

not sure why everyone is so hard on him. it's a no-brainer.

Coming from Carolina fan I could have cared less that he left. He was a great recruiter and like you said he couldn't compete with FSU. My beef was he was offerred the same coin 750,000 to stay at UNC instead of bolt to Texas and he still left. Granted the Heels arn't the Longhorns, but call it what it was. He had job security on Tobacco road. At Texas you have to beat Nebraska every year and be in the title hunt EVERY year or he is gone

texas would be more fun to coach at. he was ready to compete at a higher level. you can understand that, right?

who cares if some coach can win a bunch of basketball games at notre dame. unc comes knocking and he's taking that job.

Sure no problem there. I was just commenting that if job security was an issue Texas aint the place to be compared to Chapel Hill. Heel fans are happy with 7-4. 8-3 with regular defeats to FSU and a tough out of conferance team and then in December a holiday trip to Atlanta or Jacksonville. That is if they ever traveled with team?
