Mac G4 and extras

    I recently got a Mac G4 quick silver and have been playing around with it.
    G4
    40 gig hard drive
    1.5 gig ram
    8oo mhz or something like that
    17 LCD monitor
    keyboard
    mouse
    etc
    etc

    Well, it doesn't have a DVD drive in it and I wanted to upgrade to OSX tiger. So I took a DVD drive that I had laying around and put it in and it seemed to work fine. Tried to do the install and it keeps failing and I can't boot it now.

    Before now it worked flawlessly.

    I think I'll just order the CD version of Tiger and that should get her going again. I read that if you use a non-mac DVD drive the install will hose on you.
