If he let the Panthers draft him, he wouldn't make it 2 years in the league and would never see free agency. He's making money by staying put.

There is no CBA, Luck can be drafted but not sign a contract. If a rookie scale is part of the new CBA he'll have passed on significantly less than 50 million.

    Completely agree with this.

And to be clear, I was all over the Harbaugh/Luck bandwagon just days ago, I DO feel like JR's presser may have sealed the deal on Harbaugh, but Stanford/rich kid or not,,,,, Luck is saying NO to a big shitload of money, no matter the sorry ass team you have to play for. I'm not sure but this could be unprecedented. Has a player in ANY FUCKING SPORT who was a lock to be the #1 OVERALL pick in the draft, ever decided to say no and stay in school? I will get over it, but this is some shit. Big slap in the Panthers face.

Yep. I am not surprised after JR held a press conference in which he dismissed Luck's idolized coach as not worthy of a look. How did he think Luck would take that?

Wow, this is depressing. Just another let down when it comes to the Panthers. His decision may have absolutely zero to do with the Panthers in any way (doubt it) but it is another let down all the same. It's getting tough to care about this team. I may be saving hundreds of dollars next year from Directv to watch this team.

And what the fuck was the point of the press conference again? Even if it has nothing to do with Luck and his decision. The point?

I was actually excited about the team for a week or so, counting down to the draft, waiting on HC news, but yet again, excitement wasn't made for a Panthers fan.
