IMO there is too much talent on this roster to wallow in self pity. JR screwed up by going cheap which I assume he thought was prudent with the upcoming labor issues. Washed away a lot of bad money. My question is will he spend once the strike is resolved. Low point? Too much talent, too young and injuries in key spots hurt us

yeah, I don't know that this franchise is in a tailspin because of 2010 lacking a veteran QB or RG. That won't make Jon Beason suck in two years, you know? And once the FO re-signs guys like CJ, finishes the deal with Kalil, and shit like that, people will shut up about cheap (and at that point, it'll be less warranted). Who knows, maybe we sign a fucking free agent or two.

I still have a few concerns about leadership on O, but seeing things like Gross/Wharton taking the lead on a workout series and what they say of Newton's leadership, fuck it, that's a start.

when fred lane committed suicide. that was the low point. followed by steve smith beating up brendan buckner followed by rey mysterio's brief turn as the panther's placekicker.

Rey Mysterio's is still my all time favorite Panther who has wrestled Ric Flair, well except for Kevin Greene.

I refuse to be all doom and gloom. They have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL and are under salary cap (assuming there is one) because ownership saw fit to prepare for the lockout this way. The ownership plans to build and play young players so at least there is a plan. O-Line looks good. Solid running game even if D Will isn't retained. Defense needs some help but there are good veterans there as well. I dont see in any way how this is teh low point of the franchise. Granted we need consistant play at teh QB position but goodness knows they are seeking to address that immediately.

Cheer up and lets see what happens in 2011.

I will admit that I am probably more biased against the team now than I have been before because I thought Fox's departure was handled badly and that I think Cam Newton is going to be a bust.

I was probably more down on the team after it cut Bline than I am now though really.....

yes, the would his elbow have blown up if he stayed in carolina conversation lasted 3 yrs.
and, fox was allowed to leave the prior yr if he chose. he only got offered cleveland or some shit like that so he stayed - for big money. so let that go.
and you really need to try some cammy cam juice.
