Love for GOings

In the broadest sense, you could link Switzer and Seifert. However, GS was promoted in SFO from within, and was already a big part of what made that team go, at least defensively.

After winning his first Super Bowl, he said something that reflected his self-perception:

''Putting my 'stamp' on the team wasn't one of my goals,'' Seifert said. ''My goal was one of continuity. I've been with this club for 10 years, and I'm familiar with the organization. I know the offense and defense. I know how we handle personnel"

He did what he was asked to do, more than once. Doesn't make him one of the all time greats, but it sure does (in my mind) seperate him a bit from Switzer.
