Just wanted to point out that technically, Goings was part of Seifert's last draft, which is easily the best the franchise ever had.

He took over for fumblebatuka in our only win in 2001, in Minn. That win featured a smitty TD the first time he touched the ball, Weinke's only win as a starter, and Going's first go at being an RB.

If I remember correctly, even Cooper made a HUGE play forcing a fumble on Culpepper about an inch form the goal line. Cooper ran across half the field to make that play.

4 rookies making big plays. No wonder the wheels fell off after that. We had rookies all over the field that year.

It was a good draft. Say what you will about Seifert, and 2001, but he did bring in some good players that year.

Yeah I've been considering starting a nerdy thread about the 2002 and 2003 drafts.

If Seifert had drafted that well the other times he might still be here.

He was without some picks due to the Gilbert trade. And he made good picks in round 2.....

    '99
Terry (still playing at a high level)
    Rucker

    2000 was a disaster.

    2001 was the shizzle.

I wonder if Seifert would've picked harrington over peppers.

He is playing at a high level. He was the 2005 darts champion at a local tittybar.

You have to understand what meat means when he says "high"

In a lot of ways Timmah was the downfall of Seafart. He should have gotten us a real running back right away. I remember that Charlie Garner was out there for a long time. That would have made our offense much better. When you end up starting a backup QB at tailback then you know you have neglected the area.
