It's funny you think that, because everything I've read about the show, including interviews with writers, indicates the emphasis is supposed to be on the people and the relationships that develop. Hmmm.

 

I guess I need to ignore the dinosaurs and fat guy and pay more attention to the people then. I won't give up on it yet.

 

I don't want you to think I'm criticizing you. People pay attention to different things.

 

Locke couldn't walk before the plane crash, and now he's a bad-ass hunter. Sweet.

 

I would just as soon leave out the dinosaurs and what not. I think you could tell some really interesting stories without having to go sci fi. I am liking it pretty well so far but I kind have the sense that the other shoe is going to drop and that it is going to get really cheesy. I generally like sci fi but I am not sure it fits here.

For you sci fi fans there are some interesting actors with ties to sci fi on the show.

Locke played Admiral Pressman on star trek TNG and was also on the Xfiles
The guy with the annoying sister played as Adam on Smallville and as Dracula on an episode of Buffy
The Korean guy was a lawyer working for Wolfram and Hart on Angel
Of course Charlie was Pippen on Lord of the Rings

 

I don't watch because I like the show...I think it's already pretty cheezy. However, my son loves the show, but it scares him...so I have to watch it with him.

 

The pregnant chick is getting more time... she is hot.

 

I like the balance between the unknown and the character stories. I think it wouldn't be as interesting without the unknown.

 

I like the unknown, especially when it turns out to be something known. ie: Wild Boars.

Now they have some dude show up then disappear? And still have the mysterious "monster"?

There are several questions that I just have.

They finally hit on the transmitter. Why are they still "stuck" on the little section of the Beach. Why doesn't someone go exploring down the beach. It's an island. If they get rescued, all they have to do is circle the island. I would have taken the gun and gone off on the beach. There has to be signs of a dock. Anything to get away from some of those people. Maybe taken the Iragi with me. I like him. Maybe it's because he is ex-military. Military people tend to trust each other even when they are on different sides.

What about shelter? I know they wanted to burn the plane and dead, but they need to think about some shelter, fresh water. They finally with the help of the Colonel got some food.

I like the show.
