    The statue was Sobek, an Egyptian god. Read up on him, interesting.

    Smokey looked like "wtf?!"

    "They" are Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Juliette, Sayid Badmotherfucker, Hurley, and all the rest stuck in 1977. Season 6 will be an ass kicking confusionfest of the smoke monster.

    alegedly the chick that plays juliette is going to have a major role in the new "V" TV show/movie. I read somewhere that she is dead-dead.

    We'll see.

    it's shit like this that highlights the reality of the lost story arc. you simply can't plan for contract disputes, drunk driving arrests, an actor getting a new gig, etc.

    i looked up sobek on wiki, but had to stop reading once i got to the reference to crocodilopolis. completely blew my ability to focus.

    crocodilopolis. could only be cooler if it was chocodilopolis.

    That gave me pause as well.

    However, if you read about Sobek a lot of things make sense. A caveat, on the Lost website, the episode recap calls the statue Taweret, the Egyptian god of fertility but it doesn't look like Taweret.

    The statue looks like Sobek.
