    well, the makeup of the team is interesting. clearly they're being portrayed as helpless non-agents since they needed naomi to protect them.

    the thing about the team, tho, is that they supposedly aren't interested in survivors, they're interested in the ben (or the island). ben killed a bunch of people, so miles could be there to sort that out. or he could be there to talk to jacob.

    daniel's a kooky physicist and this island is all about kooky physics.

    the pilot might be there because of some fate thing -- he was supposed to have piloted 815 so maybe they sent him because he's connected to the island in some way.

    charlotte, i dunno. she made some crack about people in her line of work and had a wad of cash.


    oh, and i thought it was interesting that the smoke monster made a return (i only in reference). i'm guessing it becomes a major theme again.
