Yes and that is the second time that the book has been shown this season even though I didn't notice what the book was the first time.

Here is a snippet of a review from this website http://www.powells.com/biblio/9780679734468:

Here is a summary from another site http://www.philipkdick.com/works_novels_valis.html:
[SIZE=-1]The title is an acronym for Vast Active Living Intelligence System

Maybe the four toe people are pulling all the strings.

well. was that jin's funeral at the end of season 3? i assume it was, but who knows. nobody went to the funeral at the end of season 3.

Look at the brain on larry figuring out the six.

pretty good episode. if next week's is the eighth episode, it was originally going to be the season finale if the writer's strike continued. supposed to be a big cliff hanger.

or is jin one of these people? i've got to think we'll find out who the other 3 are this season. or i at least hope. there's so much to find out. i hope they don't screw up this show. it's too good right now.

A flashback, a flash-forward, and did anyone notice the date of death on the tombstone?

you think it was a flashback?

i guess it was. i was thinking too deep like jin had changed his identity. if that's the case, don't we only still have the oceanic 5 or am i forgetting someone.

or is that what you were even talking about.
