I forgot about the one(s?) Eko killed, too. What does that make, six?

I highly doubt the passengers will ever outsmart the Dharma people.

hmm.... i dunno. the island has its own magnetic interference, but there's definitely some sort of electro-magnet device that's linked to the button. not sure the crazy compass stuff isn't just from the island itself.

if i recall correctly, tho i might be mixing my cinematic plane crashes, the plane lost communications first, then was off course for a few hours, then crashed. i find it odd that one event caused those things -- unless the event was a cascading event (like a ripple in the fabric of destiny or some other "weird shit").

i don't the thing is an emp pulse, per se, so much as some strange magnetic event. if it was an emp, the button would have been disable when des let it go before.

I guess you could say they got the best of Ethan. Jack managed to kick his ass when they fought the second time, before Charlie shot him. I am just tired of seeing the heros of the show get outdone all the time.

So maybe the island is Mordor.

one thing that has always bothered me about the show is that they really just ASSUMED they were on an island. nobody actually walked the perimeter to ensure that:

    a. they were not on an isthmus or peninsula or even the mainland.
    b. they were actually alone. they could be on hawaii for all they know.

One does not simply crash a plane into Mordor!
