    Why did we waste this season with the tail section survivors? did any of them serve a purpose?

    Ana Lucia served a purpose, we see to what extent Michael will go to to get Walt. And Eko is still around, there's no telling what role he will continue to play. I think Eko is one of the better characters on the show.

    Great episode last night, the finale looks to be an exciting one.

    I don't know that Ana Lucia served a purpose long-term. Eko could have just walked out of the jungle to start season two and we'd be at the same place we are now and they could have saved us the agony of 5 or 6 lousy episodes.

    The people in the tail section had a story to tell about the others as well.

    Additionally - one of the others (the one Ana Lucia stabbed) infiltrated the group.

    This leads me to believe that one of the current group is an other. I suspect it was Libby, but just a hunch. I definitely think that one of the characters is an other.

    Hurley had the manifest, and accounted for everyone. Did he still have it after the rest of the folks on the plane showed up?

    Oh, and that hatch that the Others guard so closely likely has another computer terminal in it, complete with camera so when they see Michael sitting down at the other terminal, they can pretend to be Walt.
