    Sadly, that used to be the way it was with Star Wars, to a certain extent.

    get yourself a bit torrent client and download the thing. thart's how i saw the first 15 episodes this season and they looked as good as my standard def signal. 350mb or so and no commercials.

    How does that work? I missed the last episode. TIVO tried to change the channel but the IF cables on the cable box are not reliable. I ended up with an episode from the Discovery channel with some woman getting labia reduction and a tranny getting fake boobs............ :(

    I'd like to know how that works also. I've heard those sites are loaded with spyware/viruses, etc....

    get a bit torrent client: azureus is a pretty decent one. it's free.

    go to a torrent site and find the file you want. isohunt.com is a simple one. search of "lost season 2" or something. there are compilations of the entire season(s) available as well. the nice thing about torrents is that they can be collections of files so you can decide to only download files you want. (like the last episode of a season long compilation).

    the torrent file itself will be rather small, but it's just a set of instructions on where to find a server that is actually handling the peer-to-peer negotiations. and since torrents are peer-to-peer, you should probably protect yourself from unwanted intrusion (peerguardian seems decent). also, if you're behind a firewall, you'll probably need to enable port forwarding or your connection will be slow or not work at all, even. figure 350mb for an episode of lost and you can expect to get 20-40k per second on a good torrent so it'll take a couple hours to grab.
