That passage has been interpretted to mean many things but I have never heard it used to address interracial marriage. How are you getting that?

You are way to early for that to work. There were no jews in Genesis 6. That happened later after Abraham and Issac and Jacob. I have heard arguments that the "sons of God" were actually fallen angels resulting in the birth of giants.

Yep. Thelt's right on this one.

I've heard that, too, but I don't know how much I believe it.

Not sure I believe that either but I have known some who made a big deal of it.

Easy. See if you can follow...

    1) I (my wife) will never have an abortion; You will never have one. Why? It's wrong.
    2) We don't think our neighbor Susie should have one either. Why? It's wrong.
    3) We only disagree on how to keep Susie from having one. Good luck with that one.

I'm amazed at the number of people that are confused and/or assume that any differences that come up in the process of trying to find the solution to (3) automatically makes the other person immoral.

You are really bad about it. Probably the worst I've ever come across unless you are jerking all of us around.

To the best of my knowledge this was due to idol worship and/or worship of "other" gods. The women (outside of the Hebrew "tribe") had most of the blame laid on them for tempting the Israelite men into worshipping their gods.....Ashera, Ashteroth, Baal, Chemosh, just to name a few of the false gods. Even after their return from Babylonian captivity, the Israelite men had to be corrected twice for marrying outside their own tribe.

This is one of the most significant problems I have with organized religion in general, & Christianity in particular. Whatever moral decisions the MEN make, if it's wrong, it's the fault of some temptress woman.

    PU--LEEZE!!!

From Eve in the garden of Eden on, it's always some evil woman's fault.
 "Oh you poor feebleminded men . . . I'm so very sorry that I influenced you unduly." What a crock of shit!
