i've never known identical twins where one is gay, the other straight. i've known identical twins where both were gay though. i've also known families that consisted of 3 boys and 2 girls, none twins, but all 3 boys were gay. the girls were straight.

did you ever stop to think maybe you are the one born with the disease? please quit equating homosexuality with a birth defect. personally, i have a difficult time (when i actually stop to think about it, which isn't often) how anyone can be heterosexual. it's not "normal" to me. i get sorta grossed out when i see man/woman sex on tv or in a movie. i just dont' understand it anymore than you understand where i'm coming from. i'm homosexual for the exact same reason you are heterosexual. i was made this way, it's my genetic makeup. i can't say that anymore ways than i already have.

If you accept the bible as source of higher authority then it is not the same at all.

sure it is. people stand behind the bible to justify themselves and not have to take responsibility for their actions. wars are waged, abortion clinics are bombed, gays are killed, etc all in the name of god and because the bible instructs such acts. deflects the onus off the person carrying out the deed.

People may twist the bible but those who do are not accepting it as a higher power. You must conform to the bible's teachings not twist the teachings to conform to you.

I didn't say you were diseased. I equated it to disease because if you were to resist your urges you would suffer like someone with a disease. To say you were born this way so it must be OK is to say anyone born anyway is OK. Of course if heterosexuality was a disease and we cured it, we would all go extinct.

You're not choosing anything. According to the bible, your condemning yourself to hell based on your lifestyle. Although, I guess you could choose to be straight, so maybe you are, I don't really know. That's why I don't really follow Christianity anymore, it's so fucking confusing.

It would have to be. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the bible says that 1000 years are like a second in heaven ( which I believe means that time is an earthly device, and time cannot be measured in heaven.) Then, it says that the Universe was created in 7 days, but man was not made until the 6th day I think. So, if time couldn’t possibly have been invented until the 6th day, and probably not until much later, when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, and actually had the capacity to develop the notion of time, then how do we know the seven days were really seven days?
