Bad ass movie. Rented it the other night and bought it the next day. The effects in this movie are better than I have seen, including Star Wars. Story is great and basically this movie freak'n rocks. The DVD extras won't knock your socks off but, Highly recommended!

I have my order in on Amazon for the Platinum edition which ships in early November. 30 extra minutes of footage seemlessly integrated into the movie and two other extra CDs than the DVD which is out now.

Yes, I would definately wait for the special edition to be released soon. The regular DVD lacks the extras. Good movie though.

yeah if you don't have the dvd yet I would wait for the special edition. I just couldn't wait - and just like in their business plan - me and most of the diehards will buy both.
