I haven't gotten around to getting it, but the newest version of Pirates looks awesome, and I will be getting it soon.

dungeon seige 2 is out... it's a lot like ds1, but with some more "diabloesque" features. looks good.

i'm dying for age of empires 3.

battle for middle earth was good and battle for middle earth 2 is going to come out early next year(?).

rise of legends looks pretty fucking sweet, too. dunno when that'll hit the shelves.

flatout (racing game) is fucking awesome in a lan party with 5 or 6 people. that's the one that gets the most cussing and laughing and screaming going on.

star wars battlefront 2 is on its way if you like that sort of thing. again, a good lan game. not sure about 1 player.

brothers in arms is a sleeper if you haven't seen it. sort of a video game version of band of brothers. small squad based fps in ww2. pretty nice.

OK....so you saw the one's I was downloading above....

    Thoughts:

HL2: Physics engine is unbelievable. Graphics and sound are top notch. But....I'm bored. Too repetitive.

Dungeon Siege 2: Looks Stellar. Havent spent too much time playing it, but with my "Rambo"esque tactics of play, I chose the Half-Giant and melee skill.

Watched the intro to Rome:TW, but havent gotten a chance to play it yet. Too into Dungeon Siege at the moment. Also have Battlefield 2 currently downloading.

i just started ds2 last night lan'd with a friend. just reached act 2, but missed some sidequests in act 1, so we'll probably go back. i'm something like level 22 combat mage (with maybe 3 levels of each other type) and have a mature ice elemental as a sidekick. my friend is ranged level 22 w/ a bit of nature magic and has a direwolf side kick. we didn't want to fill all 6 slots cuz that would be hardly like playing. cool game.

earth 2160 finall just came out. it's been out for germany and poland for a while. looks like it could be good. the earth series has some nice features. dunno how this one will be.

I'm playing Brothers in Arms and HL2. My kid (7) is playing Dungeon Siege 2. He says it rocks.
