Anyone know of any newly released PC games that are worth a shit?

I love RPG's like D2 and Dungeon Siege, and also FPS' such as HL, UT, Serious Sam, etc.

I feel like I've played them all and havent seen anything hit the shelves that was hot.

I have Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 as well, but feel much more craving for a nice long RPG rather than just a blood and guts, Rambo-esque, FPS.

    I'm jonesin' over here.

A PC Game to try : Rome Total War ( Best game I've ever bought).

Europe 200 BC-66 AD, 3-D action, command thousands of troops, sack cities, slaughter populations, armoured War elephants, it's alllllll good. ( and very realistic)

Plus, in a month, new expansion pack comes out ( RTW: Barbarian Invasion), picks up around 400 AD. (yes, YOU can be th Huns and wipe out Western Europe).

Is that more of a Civ III type thing, or an Age Of Empires type thing?

There's more to it than AOE...It's actually two games types in one...It starts off as a big map of Europe ( think RISK, but where the pieces (soldiers representing armies) actually walk around when you move them somewhere).
Then when you pick a fight somewhere, you zoom in to a whole different game element, where it's 3-D realistic battles involving big ass armies. Really cool, and highly addictive. check out http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/rometotalwar/index.html?q=rome

I second Odin's recommendation of Rome: Total War - The Barbarian Invasion! I'm still hooked on the original, but when the expansion drops I'm there!! :Woot_Emot :Woot_Emot :Woot_Emot

Surprised no one mentioned AOE3 coming this fall. THAT is the one I cant wait for. :headbang:

Yes, Ive played and finished HL2, and while the effects and graphics were amazing, the story was way lacking from the first one. I just didnt have as much fun, I guess you could say.

I'll definitely have to check out Rome:TW and the expansion.
